Math Knowledge Item Pool for the Accelerated Cat -asv Ab Project
نویسنده
چکیده
The theory underlying computerized adaptive tests assumes that all items for a given subtest measure a single dimension. This assumption was examined for the Math Knowledge items in the item pool developed for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. Departures from the assumption were found to be minor.

Multidimensional Computerized Adaptive Testing in Recovering Reading and Mathematics Abilities
Under a MIRT CAT’s (multidimensional computerized adaptive testing) testing scenario, an ability estimate in one dimension will provide clues for subsequently seeking a solution in other dimensions. This feature may enhance the efficiency of MIRT CAT’s item selection as well as its scoring algorithms compared with its counterpart, unidimensional CAT (UCAT). The shadow test approach ( van der Li...

BACKGROUND Even though the Five Factor Model (FFM) has been the dominant paradigm in personality research for the past two decades, very few studies have measured the FFM adaptively. Thus, the purpose of this research was the building of a new item pool to develop a computerized adaptive test (CAT) for personality assessment. METHOD A pool of 480 items that measured the FFM facets was develop...

The present research has aimed to compare the competencies in teaching math using an IT-based approach in student-teachers and trainees admitted based on Article 28. A quasi-experimental approach was used, and static groups were devised, with the research sample consisting of 20 student-teachers and 20 Article 28 trainees from the province of Eastern Azerbaijan during 2018-2019. Both groups wer...
متن کاملAssembling a Computerized Adaptive Testing Item Pool as a Set of Linear Tests
Test-item writing efforts typically results in item pools with an undesirable correlational structure between the content attributes of the items and their statistical information. If such pools are used in computerized adaptive testing (CAT), the algorithm may be forced to select items with less than optimal information, that violate the content constraints, and/or have unfavorable exposure ra...
متن کاملNon–Fisher-Information Item Selection Criteria 1 Running head: Non–Fisher-Information Item Selection Criteria Comparison of Non–Fisher-Information Item Selection Criteria in Fixed-Length Computerized Adaptive Testing
The maximized Fisher information (MFI) criterion has been the mainstream of the item selection algorithm in many computerized adaptive test (CAT) programs because of its effectiveness and simplicity. There are still several issues with the MFI criterion, however, that need to be resolved in the field, specifically regarding estimation accuracy at the beginning of CAT administration and item poo...
